Event dates and times

Events are made up of dates and times that are bookable by attendees. An event can have one or more dates that are made up of time blocks. Each time block is made up of slots, determined by your booking length.

Time blocks enable you to break up your event into chunk to accommodate breaks for all staff attending, such as evening meal breaks.

info

Event date and time blocks apply to all staff attending the event. The Breaks feature can be used to prevent certain staff and time combinations from being booked in a more flexible manner.

Example event structure

  • Tuesday 5th August:
    • 3:00pm - 5:00pm
    • 5:30pm - 6:30pm
    • 7:00pm - 8:45pm
  • Wednesday 6th August:
    • 9:00am - 12:00pm
    • 4:30pm - 6:00pm
    • 7:00pm - 9:00pm

End times

Bookings do not extend past the end time of a time block. The last booking of a time block will end on or before the end time of a block.

Example: time block of 5:00pm - 5:45pm behaves with different booking lengths.

Changing dates and times

If you need to change the dates and times of your event, you can do so from the Settings section when editing an event.

You can add or remove dates or time blocks within those dates. These changes will take effect immediately for event attendees.

warning

Existing bookings are not affected and will remain even if those dates or times are no longer part of the event.
